CLEAR COMMUNICATION WITH YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

DEFINE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE TO THE PHOTOGRAPHER
“I always encourage my brides to collect sample photos of the style of  photography they prefer – and photos of what they DON’T like. As a photographer there isn’t a clearer picture than this to help the bride convey a clear picture of their style.”

I suggest spending time with your photographer before your wedding day. Sit down for coffee, or chat with them during your engagement and/or bridal sessions. As a photographer, I will not just show up at the wedding completely unaware of what the couples expectations are or with little or no knowledge of their personalities and ideas. And as a bride and groom you should expect the same courtesy from your photographer!”

Engagement Sessions are the ice breaker for everyone. Working with your photographer prior to the wedding will allow you both to become comfortable in front of the camera, and with each other. Your engagement session gives you the opportunity to discover the best ways to be photographed together as well as becoming familiar with your photographers style which will in fact give a better understanding of your personalities, expressions and reactions.
Along with the benefit of seeing how your photographer performs, you will also be able to view your engagement photographs long before your wedding day, seeing how great you can really look and begin to anticipate your wedding day photographs even more.

Don’t forget…your engagement session needs to be all about you! You may choose to meet where you had your first date or where you as a couple spend most of your time.  Choose a locale that highlights your personality and style. Your session can be fun, sassy or romantic the possibilities are limitless. ”
